UTS WORLD VIRTUAL YOUTH FESTIVAL OPENS REGISTRATION

The United Through Sports World Virtual Youth Festival 2020 has brought 80 organisations together to united to move forward as one past this pandemic. The event is under patronage of IOC, IPC,SOI, SportAccord and GAISF promoting inclusion, non-discrimination, equality and peace. Youth from around the world have participated in qualification events to represent their organisations and are training enthusiastically every day to get ready for the grand finale from the 18-23 November. As the United Nations (UN) celebrates its 75th anniversary, the President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Thomas Bach, has hailed the collaboration between the two organisations, while also emphasising the role that sport can play in fostering global solidarity in the face of the coronavirus crisis. UTS LAUNCHES THE OFFICIAL MASCOT FOR THE UTS WORLD VIRTUAL YOUTH FESTIVAL 2020

Alexx the Axolotl has been chosen as the official mascot for the first ever World Virtual Youth Festival. The mascot was launched by the UTS organising committee on the 27th October in Bangkok, Thailand the host city for this unique event. The mascot was designed by New Jersey, USA based Transcend Studio under the vision of talented animator Oscar Feliz. Mr Feliz wanted to ensure “the spirit of Alexx, and his positive nature were at the centre” of his design. “Alexx” symbolises a unisex naming approach, where Alexx can be identified as either or both genders.
