The UTS World Youth Festival Goes Global on the Olympic Channel

The Olympic Channel reaches millions. And now, it is carrying the story of our young people. United Through Sports, the world’s largest all-inclusive youth sport organization, is proud to announce that two dedicated episodes celebrating the Kuala Lumpur UTS World Youth Festival 2025 are now live on the Olympic Channel. It is a milestone that reflects not just the scale of what happened in Malaysia, but the growing global significance of what UTS represents.

Who We Are

Since 2018, United Through Sports has been a first of its kind: the first organisation in history to unite the International Olympic Committee, the International Paralympic Committee, and Special Olympics International under one shared mission, to place youth of all abilities at the center. Operating through AIMS, one of four umbrella bodies officially recognised by the IOC, UTS brings together over 159 international sports organisations, federations, NGOs, governments and Olympic cities in a worldwide movement built on three core values: inclusion, equity, and non- discrimination. Our flagship event, the UTS World Youth Festival, has reached young people across 25+ countries on every continent, averaging over 50,000 students and youth participants on the ground and generating 15 million cumulative impressions globally. This is sport in service of humanity.

What Happened in Kuala Lumpur

The UTS World Youth Festival Malaysia 2025 was a landmark edition. It brought together thousands of young people, sport leaders, young leaders, international federations and partners for an extraordinary multi-day program of sport, cultural exchange, education forums, and inclusive celebration. The festival culminated in a historic inclusive sports day on World Children’s Day, where more than 10,000 young people participated side by side, regardless of ability, background or circumstance. From the arrival of Young Leaders representing dozens of nations, to the education forums, cultural pavilion and large-scale sports celebration, every moment was a demonstration of what is possible when inclusion is not an afterthought, but the entire point.

Why the Olympic Channel Matters

The Olympic Channel, created by the IOC to bring the stories of sport to audiences around the world, reaches millions of viewers across dozens of countries. The two episodes now live on the platform follow the full arc of the Kuala Lumpur festival, capturing its energy, its purpose, and the voices of the young people at its heart. For UTS, this is not simply media coverage. It is the story of our movement reaching educators, federation leaders, governments, potential partners and young people who may be discovering UTS for the very first time. It ensures that the impact of what happened in Malaysia travels far beyond Kuala Lumpur and becomes part of the global conversation about what youth sport can and should look like. With the endorsement of the Olympic, Paralympic and Special Olympic movements, and the trust of more than 159 organisations worldwide, UTS is uniquely positioned to lead that conversation. The Olympic Channel gives it a global platform.

We are deeply grateful to the Olympic Channel for sharing our story, and to every young person, federation, partner and leader who made Kuala Lumpur 2025 the extraordinary event it was.
