A significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed on the 11th March 2020 at the Generations For Peace Head Quarters in Amman, Jordan, between United Through Sports (UTS), Generations For Peace (GFP) and the Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC). The 6th March 2020 marked not only the annual celebration of Muaythai Day, but also the signing of a memorandum of understanding between UTS and the International Federation of Muaythai Associations (IFMA) the IOC recognized umbrella body of Muaythai. The two organisations have been in joint cooperation over the past 2 years and have collaborated on a number of social and educational projects. Muaythai under IFMA, the sole recognized International Federation for the art and sport of muaythai gave the honour of their Asian Championships 2019 to the capital city of UAE, Abu Dhabi. The championship ran from 17th-21stDecember bringing 35 Asian countries to participate at the event showcasing the strength of Asia and the continued growth of muaythai. From the 10-12th Forte Lauderdale in Florida was the hub of the inaugural SportAccord Regional Convention. Leaders and key decision makers from the Pan American region came together to discuss, to learn, to exhibit, network and to share knowledge. Discussions were held to address directly hot topics in the sports world including: Social responsibility in sports, the future of International Federation Governance, a new perspective on Safeguarding Athletes amongst others.
