Bringing Ideas to Life: Naming’s Creative Journey at UTS

United Through Sports is delighted to welcome Naming, a talented young Motion Graphic Designer and Creative from Thailand, whose love of illustration and animation is helping bring UTS stories to life. Currently in her second year studying Graphic Design at Chulalongkorn University, Naming’s creative journey began long before she entered the classroom.

“I’ve loved drawing since I was a kid, which led me straight into art school and eventually into graphic design and motion,” Naming said.

Her interest in motion graphics grew after she discovered how animation could transform a still illustration into something full of energy and emotion. After creating her first motion piece for a university project, she knew she had found an area of design she wanted to explore further.

“Seeing still illustrations come alive through animation blew my mind,” Naming explained. “I tried making my first motion piece for a university project and instantly fell in love with it.”

Finding Her Place at UTS

Naming first discovered UTS while searching for an internship during her university break. After completing a design test, she was offered the opportunity to join the team. What began as an internship soon developed into an ongoing role.

“It turned out to be a really great fit,” she said.

As a Motion Graphic Designer and Creative, Naming transforms ideas into engaging visual content for UTS social media platforms and campaigns. Her role also involves brainstorming new ways to communicate the organisation’s work and share its stories with wider audiences.

Since joining UTS, Naming has particularly appreciated the welcoming atmosphere within the team and the opportunity to use her creativity for a meaningful purpose.

“The office vibe is warm, super friendly and not intimidating at all,” she said. “Designing for a mission that actually helps people makes the work feel genuinely worth it.”

For Naming, one of the most rewarding parts of the creative process is the moment when an idea begins to take shape. She particularly enjoys sound design and the way audio can completely change the energy and impact of an animation.

“That moment when an idea clicks in my head is my favourite,” she said. “I also really enjoy doing the sound design. Adding audio effects and watching the motion snap into place is so satisfying.”

Her current inspiration comes from mixed-media and collage-style motion graphics, particularly work that combines real-world textures with digital elements.

“I don’t follow just one specific creator,” Naming explained. “I love seeing how people blend real textures with graphics to tell a story.”

Sport as a Community

Naming’s understanding of sport closely reflects the values at the heart of UTS. To her, sport is not simply about competition or performance. It is a way of creating connections between people.

“To me, sport is community,” she said. “It brings people together over something they love, no matter where they come from.”

This belief is also reflected in her work. Through visual storytelling, Naming hopes to help more people discover UTS and understand how its programmes use sport to create positive opportunities for young people.

Looking to the Future

Naming dreams of creating motion graphics for the stage of a major global event, where her visuals could be displayed across huge screens and experienced by thousands of people in the audience.

Her main ambition, however, is to use visual storytelling to raise greater awareness of the UTS mission. “I really hope my work helps put UTS’s mission on more people’s radars,” Naming said. “Even making a small positive impact through visual storytelling means a lot to me.”

Away from her screen, Naming enjoys searching for good food with her friends and family. She can also often be found absorbed in a comic book or enjoying a quick game of table tennis. With her creativity, fresh perspective and ability to turn ideas into memorable visual stories, Naming is an exciting addition to the UTS team. We look forward to seeing her work continue to move, inspire and connect audiences around the world.
